# Get started with Omnichar Cloud

> Sign in to Omnichar Cloud, build your first character from 1-3 photos, and generate an image or video with it in your browser. No GPU or install needed.

This walks you from sign-in to your first image of a character. You need a Google account and 1-3 photos of the person.

**1. Sign in**

Open [cloud.omnichar.org](https://cloud.omnichar.org) and sign in with Google. New accounts start with 300 free credits, and you don't need a card.

**2. Build a character**

Go to **Characters** and upload 1-3 photos of the person. A build usually costs 2-3 credits, and a failed build is free.

**3. Generate an image**

Pick the character, describe the scene, and choose a resolution. The price shows before you run: a 1K image with a character costs 11 credits.

**4. Try a video**

Switch to video, pick a resolution and length, and run it with the same character. A five-second 480p video costs 50 credits, plus 64 when a character is attached.

**5. Download the .char**

Each character card has a **.char** button. That file opens in [Omnichar Studio](/app/getting-started) and the [ComfyUI node](/comfyui/getting-started), so you can keep using the character on your own GPU.
